With this photo set, I wanted to capture the "flaws" in women's bodies that are commonly seen as repulsive or negative. These completely normal features are usually removed from touched-up, face-tuned photos published online on social media and even in print through magazines.

This set aims to show the realities of what women actually look like while reclaiming women's bodies from judgment and shame.

Women's bodies are so sexualized yet this sexualization is based on such unattainable standards constantly shown to us through the media we consume, leaving those who see these photos insecure while also leading them to believe that these altered photos show what is normal when it isn't. This further propagates the unachievable societal standards set upon women. Hopefully with more people showing these features with pride, we begin to unravel the high expectations on women through promotion of body positivity and acceptance.
